Do I need to fill a whole backpack?
Yes, please include all items for the list so that each child gets the same contents.
Can I give individual items?
We do accept individual items, yet with Covid-19, we are trying to reduce the number of individual drop offs. If you have a business and would like to donate office supplies such 200 pens or other items in bulk, this is very much appreciated. Please contact me at backpacks101project@gmail.ca to arrange drop off or if you have questions.
How can I get more people involved?
*Host an office challenge
* Are your children in a group like cubs or brownies? Get the whole group involved to collect certain items.
* Ask for donations in lieu of birthday gifts
*Forward the website to family and friends
*Ask businesses if they would like to make a donation.
Can I donate cash?
Yes, 100% of cash donations go towards purchasing needed items at the end of the collection time. Donations can also be made online on the blog.

Backpacks are donated to the Women's Habitat, Ernestine Shelter and Youth Without Shelter, The Native Women's Resources Centre and Anduhyaun Inc.

Our goal of 215 backpacks is for brand new bags. We like to give each a new bag with new supplies. Novels and pictures books can be gently used.
